Mail2Wiki goes live in Alpha version

Finally, after several months working in this site, we are going to officially launch it at the Entrepreneurship Conference at Stanford. The product is still in an alpha status (some features are still missing), however we have decided that it is time to let everybody use it and tell us what features they want, rather than us trying to guess based on our limited dataset of alpha users.
Mail2Wiki is the result of seven years of frustration trying to set up collaboration wikis and seeing how people stop using them. Most of them at some point go back to email to send the important information that should be in the collaboration tools. We have seen this happening over and over at places ranging from departments of large corporations like Siemens or NTT, to small groups of students working on a project here at Stanford. On the other side, the volume of emails landing at our mailboxes has been growing at such a pace that we decided it was time to do something about it.
How mail2wiki solves these problems ? The only way you will know is using it :-), however, let us tell you a couple of things why people that have tried mail2wiki love it:
1) People that like to use email to communicate do not have to leave their favorite email client, and still will get the benefits from the power of wiki collaboration style.
2) Information in emails sent through your mail2wiki space can be tagged and rated directly at your mail client.
3) Your mail2wiki space automatically becomes an organized and rated repository of the information and files exchanged through email.
4) Information can be searched, edited, revisited and completed in the mail2wiki space through a powerful wiki interface. Just to give you an idea: You can add your flickr pictures or youtube videos just by drag & dropping directly into the browser, or copy paste formatted text directly from your word documents into the wiki. You do not believe it ? Create your mail2wiki space now and you will see it :-)
We hope to see you all at the mail2wiki booth at the econference trade show !
